Want to test drive the most customizable ERP platform in the market?

At Tailor, we build composable ERP tools that give retail businesses the control, flexibility, and visibility they need to fix their biggest operational problems and grow faster.

But technology is only one part of the solution. Economic policy changes, such as the U.S.’s recent tariffs, create a ripple effect across supply chains — leaving operators with a need for more than just better tooling.

That’s why we’re announcing the Tailor Operations Resilience Grant — a small but tangible way we want to support the innovative and unique businesses that we serve.

How It Works

The grant is a new, direct financial support program for ecommerce and retail operators impacted by the latest round of U.S. tariffs and who anticipate ongoing supply chain volatility.

The grant fund of $5,000 is designated to alleviate the increased cost burden of short-term product and component increases, delays, and other supply chain challenges.

Our intention behind this program is to help business owners and operators focus more on adapting to rapidly changing market conditions (and not only absorbing losses).

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to independent U.S.-based ecommerce and omnichannel retailers that made at least $1 million in annual revenue in 2024 and are planning or currently undergoing supply chain transformation in 2025.

We encourage brands in verticals most affected by the new tariffs — like home goods, apparel, electronics, beauty, and custom-made products — to apply.

These requirements reflect the unique type of company that we serve because they usually indicate operational complexity and are typically underserved in the software tool market.

Grant Details

  • Award amount is $5,000, and recipients will be selected based on need and impact
  • Open to current Tailor customers and non-customers alike
  • Simple, short application — takes about 5 minutes
  • Deadline: May 31, 2025
  • Recipients will be notified by email 1-2 weeks following the application deadline

Why We’re Doing This

In recent weeks, the U.S. government announced sweeping new tariffs that will impact almost every part of the global supply chain.

Retail SMBs are particularly vulnerable to delays and cost spikes, and these significant macro-level changes will likely create downstream effects like:

  • Vendors increasing costs with little notice
  • Longer lead times due to sourcing constraints
  • Greater unpredictability in demand planning and fulfillment

Trade policies and market conditions can change daily. That’s exactly why we built the Tailor platform: to help operators navigate the complexities of omnichannel retail, quickly and without outsized technology costs.

Retailers can use agility and flexibility in response to an unpredictable supply chain environment by:

  • Onshoring or nearshoring their manufacturing and light assembly processes
  • Expanding supplier networks across new regions to diversify risk
  • Shipping international orders directly from overseas factories to avoid double taxation

Expanding our support for operators to include financial assistance is the next most valuable action we can take at a time like this.

The operators who run modern commerce inspire us to build Tailor, and we hope this program can give some of that inspiration back.
